A friend of mine in our club has a 78' and it has a problem with not wanting to start on an incline, any ideas? Also he changed out the turn signal cam and plugged it in and he also changed out the blinker but now sometimes when he puts the brakes on the horn goes off and the tail lights are intermittent, Any ideas where to start on that on ?

THanks

Keith

Possibly a loose wire or ground in the steering column that is causing wires that don't normally touch to contact each other? Everything you mentioned goes through the steering column, and it's gonna be an electrical issue.

Does he have tilt & telescoping steering wheel? He may have some wires that have been pinched to the point of opening up the wires. ;shrug

The intermitent start problem, I think, was a loose post on the solinoid on the starter. Finally found the right flasher, under the dash on the passenger side. Got the turn signal mechinism in and hooked up but the arm is still loose (?). Hopefully once the cancelation cam on the turnsignal is installed the horn will be fixed, we'll see. Thinking maybe since is was broken off it put too much play in the horn spring.
