I have one extra promotional model of the 1982 Collectors edition. Absolutely mint boxed condition, produced by AMT corporation for a short run in 1993 and sold exclusively by Chevrolet dealers. Very accurate rendition of this particular Corvette, including color and graphics. $25 plus shipping please. Contact Bruce at fift8imperial @yahoo.com if interested. No disappointments on any of my models. Thanks, Bruce

That model is hardly an "accurate rendition". The wheels are way wrong. 82 Corvettes did not have 92-95, 17-in "saw blade" wheels. If I were looking for a model of an 82 CE, I wouldn't give you more than 2 bucks for what you're selling.

You're right and I apoplgize. This model was manufactured in 1993 and many times the company put the wrong wheels on promotionals. So many 1964 Chevrolet Promotionals came through with Thunderbird wheels and I can give you several other examples thru the 100_0672.jpg100_0673.jpgyears.
Heres another model I do have and will offer in place of the one with the incorrect wheels. I will search for a trashed '82 Collectors edition and replace those wheels. Thanks for the information and the offer. Bruce

I'm really not in the market for an 82CE because we already have a couple...one 1/25th scale (with the right wheels) and one full-sized (also with the right wheels)

My point in posting is that I feel it just seems wrong to talk about how accurate a rendition of an 82 CE a model might be when it's clearly not. In the photo, it's blatantly obvious that the wheels are wrong and anyone actually looking for a "very accurate rendition" of an 82CE is going to note that. It sorta made me wonder if you think CAC members aren't smart enough to catch that difference. Hope that's not the case.

I again thank you for pointing out the factory error for installing inaccurate wheels on this particular unit which as I posted previously has happened several times before in the past and is well known among promotional collectors; as well as my own error for not catching it when photographing, obviously a senior moment on my part. Also...As an enthusiast in the collector car hobby for nearly 50 years and a Corvette owner myself (1959) as well as several other makes and models of vintage vehicles, I have found just the opposite...Corvette collectors ARE probably THE MOST knowledgeable and detail conscious of any group of enthusiasts as to the correctness of their chosen marque of interest. I again apologize for this error. If I post again, I will endeavor not to repeat my error. Bruce
