Some companies did hack 84 and 85 vettes to make their own 'vert's

Looks like old snaps were used to affix a boot for the top, maybe when it was down :confused

It's pretty, for sure. I'm particulary partial to the color, but..., unlike how the description reads, it's not perfect. The left side of the hood appears to be out of alignment as if the car's been in an accident. A clear title pretty much just means the car is up and running again.
Just my 2 pennies worth...
