Last year when I put the baby away for the winter I washed the wheels well and dried them with a soft cloth. They look fine but I am wondering if I should be using any wax, special celaners etc. Also, are these wheels clearcoated? Any additional imput on wheel care would be appreciated. Thanks, Michael

Michael,

Although I'm not positive, I believe the polished wheels are clear coated. Personally speaking, I would take care of the polished wheels (if they are clear coated), the same as you take care of your paint and the clear coat that is on your Corvette's paint. The only thing I would do differently is not bother applying a glaze or polish since the primary purpose of a glaze is to nourish the paint and replace lost oils due to oxidation. Since the wheels are polished and not painted, this is something you don't have to worry about. However, I would apply a coat of wax to the wheels to protect the clear coat. It may be a waste, but it also can't harm anything. Just a suggestion.
