28-TCS code C1225H

Hold on one second.
First, correct diagnostics REQUIRES a thorough ground source check using voltage drop.
Second, GM knows about the condition???? Power and ground source checking is the FIRST thing that you are trained to do when taking electronic courses within GM.
Grounds and power supply are CRITICAL in Corvette, especially c5/c6.
And you will find the same conditions on Cadillac CTS, STS, XLR or ANY other vehicle.
If you had multiple wheel speed sensor codes, then yes, I would agree with the ground source issue, however, with it being only one, that would be surprising if it fixes it.
Allthebest, :hb

Checked out the grounds and they were squeeky clean. Sounding more and more like a wheel speed hub/sensor replacement.:mad

I agree, both harnesses have been replaced. I wouldn't think a sensor would cause an intermittent condition unless water or something was getting in. When they fail, they usually never come back. Because of the nature of the condition, I would replace them both anyway and see if the code reappears. Good luck.

I recently started getting an Active Handling/ABS Warning Light. I pulled the codes and found a C1225H code. This indicates RF Excessive Wheel Speed Variation.

Interesting. Right or left?

I've been having a C1225 problem also and my factory manuel says it is a left front.

I checked my manual and it says C1225 is indeed the Left Front not the Right Front as I initially posted.

Here is where I screwed up. I went to this link on the internet rather than checking my own manual http://stengel.net/diccodes.htm

It shows it incorrectly as the Right Front. I will order the harness Monday and let you guys know when I get it installed.

Moral of the story is not to believe everything you see on the internet. Check it out yourself. :mad

To be continued..................

Well after two months I finally got around to replacing the wheel speed sensor harnesses. Took it for a test drive and within a few miles the Active Handling/ABS Warning Lights returned. What is so weird is that when I reset both of these and turn the car off they may not come back on for another hundred miles or so.Very intermitant. c4c5specialist any Ideas? Or anyone else.

Regards,

Mike

Didn't you already replace both wheel speed harnesses?

Actually just the right side. See my previous post and the bad info I got from the link.

Good. Then it may still be a relativley simple repair.

Man, I'm glad I can't get any "codes". If only I could locate the cupholder.

Replaced the left side harness this morning and took her out for a test drive. Not the results I was hoping for. Same issue. Looks like it's time for the sensor/hub. Oh well it's only money. You can't take it with you. :L

Thanks for everyones help.

Regards,

Mike :w
