We’ve all read here on the forum of the horror stories of members taking their cars to dealers and having terrible things happen to their cars, such as falling off lifts and engines being blown up, I just want to relate a flip side story.

My car was due for an oil change. Due to a back injury I didn’t want to do the job myself so I decided to call the dealer for a quote to see what they would charge for the job if I supplied the oil. 17 dollars and change was the answer. SOLD I said to myself my back will thank me later.
After dropping the car off in the service department my wife and I spent about 45 minutes drinking free coffee and admiring the gorgeous white ’63 coupe in the showroom and drooling over the C6’s on the lot.
When we went inside to settle up the cashier presented us a bill for only $6.34! Surely there must be some mistake! They changed the oil, replaced the filter with one from their stock, topped off the other fluids and reset the DIC. “No”, said the service writer, “I added a little discount, have a great day”.

My hanks to HOLLER CHEVRLOT in Winter Park, Fl. for making my trip to the dealer a pleasant one.

Thats great news! Congrats on the Discount :)

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

With my coupons I ended up paying $12/6 pack(1 case) of Mobil 1 10W30 from Pepboys...and I got 6 cases...I love changing my own oil...its easy and its my "bonding time" with my 2nd love:L...and it also assures me that all that grease from the nasty mechanics hands and clothes don't get all over the inside of my car...:D
