You are correct 68Roadster... there is nothing at all in any of the manuals I have either. I ended up having a glass company come over for the assist. Like Ol Blue, my pry tenecdies were coming into play. After 37 years of puddy, adhesive, & dirt, that sucker just didn't want to budge. We finally got it out, but it looks like the way they designed this, the top components are attached to the windshield prior to mounting. There are the screws that Ol Blue mentioned and other very hidden ones as well. The window still cracked as expected, but I needed a new windshield anyway as this was the original which had a lot of pits and deep scratches. When you drove into the sun, the defraction was so bad, you couldn't see through it at all.
As a side note to those of you that have convertibles, you can no longer get the windshield latch components that the ragtop pin goes into. Something else yet again odd about the 68 that I didn't know, they had 2 different versions of that component. Neither of the versions have been in production for many years and are very rare finds(you can still get the pin bushings though oddly enough). Mine were really mared up as well as the main top corner window frame pieces, which lead to this whole adventure. I'll just have to clean them up as best as possible and re-chrome them.
