75,000 On OD—Oil??

I've got a little over 75,000 miles on the OD, what weight oil should I use
at this juncture? THANKS

Unless you are having problems, then my recommendation would be to continue using Mobil 1 5w30 or 10w30 as appropriate for your temperature ranges.

I used Mobil 1 10w30 for 14 years in my ex-'92 LT1 and it was in perfect condition at 103K miles when I took it apart.

I think he is talking about the oil in the overdrive unit. If you have an owners manual, I would look in there and use what they recommend.

OverDrive or Odometer? My response is based on the list if Corvettes and I see a 1994 which does not have OverDrive on the trans.

I believe the type of oil is not as important as the regularity of the oil changes.

Another vote for M1. 93 has 103,000 that includes 5 Big Bend races and still has the cross hatch in the cylinders, rod & mains look great. Blown head gaskets (and the desire for more power) prompted the tear down.

75,000 mi. - man, It's just getting broke in! Now you can start running it hard:dancenaughty Guldstrand told me 5W-30 for cold climes (like D.C.) and 10W-30 for warmer.
