89 Vert Shock Removal

I have not started this project yet, but I looked under the car and noted that I cannot see the nut for the through bolt on top of the rear shock. My question is, do I simply remove the two small bolts holding the bracket or do I approach it from inside of the luggage/roof storage compartment.

IIRC you take off the two little nuts at the top, the nut at the bottom and the shock comes off with the plate attached to the top. Take off the big nut that holds the plate to the shock and transfer the plate to the new shock. Installation is the reverse of removal. Hope this helps.
