Hello All! It's been a while since I've posted.
For some time now I've been getting the "Service Engine Soon" warning intermittently (comes on and off every few minutes, stays on from start up, or doesn't come on at all) almost every day in the Vette. Although I can't recall the code, when my shop checked it out, they said it was the ESC module. That would certianly explain the sluggishness and hesitation when I lay on the throttle. It only occurs when the SES light is on and runs great when it's not.
I guess I would like to know what's up with the intermittent-ness of it. Could be a loose connection maybe. If I replace the ESC Module, what other components should I investigate or replace with it?
I've been reading my Haynes manual to study up, but maybe one of you has done this before. '91 L98 Auto in stock condition, 93k miles.
Any advice would be awesome. Sarcasm is always appreciated, provided it's noted as such.
