92 change front speaker problems?

I am ordering new components for a complete Bose replacement. I am going with a CD/MP3 player head unit, a amp, and new speakers.

The question is, I understand 6X9's should replace the rears perfectly, but I hear some problems about replacing the fronts. What problems was encountered and what was the fix or is there a particular speaker that I should buy that will make life easier?

I had the Bose system completely replaced: head unit and 4 speakers. While I didn't do the work, I purchased the components and had a professional install them. The 6 X 9's work fine in the back. He said I could go with 6" in the doors, but I was worried he would have to modify too much for them to fit. I gave him 5 1/4" for front and there was no issue. I certainly don't like the aftermarket look of the radio, but the sound is worth it! Good luck!

Thanks, I'm kinda taking the same route. My neighbor deals with stereo equip. I just asked him to order me what he thought would be the best setup. I identified the front speaker issue and he said he'll take car of it.... Hopeing for the best. I'll post a thread when it's done and report the improvements and the equipment used.....
