According to CAC spec information, the production number of 96 CE coupes with the LT4 and black interior is 751. Does anyone know where I can find out how many of those 751 were produced with the Z51 suspension option???

From what I read in this chart: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/1996/96features.htmlThe Z51 package was not available in the CE if you had the 6-speed option. At the bottom of the chart, it shows the 6-speed tranny was an option and of course you had to have the LT4 motor with the 6-speed. The footnote for the CE column and 6-speed (6*) says this:

"6 - NA with LT1 engine. *Requires optional Extended Mobility tires and low tire pressure warning. Not available with Performance Handling Package."

So according to this, A CE with the LT4 could not have Z51. But GM docs have been wrong before..

I guess I just read the specs differently. However, my original window sticker lists options as Z15 (CE), Z51 (performance suspension), LT4 (330 hp engine) and MN6 (6 sp). Thanks for your response.

Regardless of what CAC's model year info says, if your orig. window sticker says the car is a CE w. Z51 and the ZF, I'd take the window sticker, first. To confirm, find your RPO tag and look for either Z51 or FE7, both of those will confirm the car has the performance handling package.

My old 96 was a CE, LT4, Z51 car also but it had the gray interior. Nice ride. Guess the CAC model center needs a tweak.

Thanks for all the info. Now that I suspect that the CAC model center needs a tweak, back to my original question: There were 751 CE LT4 coupes with black interiors produced. Does anyone know where I can find out how many of those 751 were produced with the Z51 suspension option???
Thanks
