I know, I know!! it was only supposed to be, one question per week!! Sorry for the rash of questions from me. I don't even call my local chevy dealer anymore, because they don't seem to know a whole lot more than I do about the car, and the bad thing about it... they won't tell you that, they'll go on with what ever they have to say, knowing that ther're giving you bogus info most of the time, thats why I've come to you now, because of the very helpfull advise, and help that you've givin me! O.K, heres the questions. Ed Wright's chip has the timing advance added in already right? So is it possible that I, at 6 deg advance could be a little much and I could back down a little.. like maybe 4 1/2, 5, 5 1/2, deg? The reason for the strange question is, My car still has a little ping to it, I did change the knock sensor, the other day, and it's still there, mostly mid range with the air on, or going up a hill with the air on. I did notice that when I put the timeing at 6 1/2 deg it started to ping even without the air on! just moveing it that 1/2 a deg made the car ping, so I backed it off to 6 deg again, I also noticed that when I brought the timeing down to about 5 1/2 deg, the idle dropped down some, were as it never did at 6 deg or higher to 7, 8 deg (Note: I havent drivin the car yet at 5 1/2 deg, so I don't know if it's going to ping or not yet, I'll keep you informed) I did have the EGR deleted from the computer, so it's not connected right now. 2nd question. If you remember my question to you about the air con fans comeing on, the reason that I was asking you about them was because, my car seems to start geting hot when the air con is on, only in traffic though, and it's fine when the air off. I did flush the radiator 2 days ago, and the radiators are clear of debris from the front, and I have 50/50 split on the radiator fluid & water. The airconditioner has been converted over also. Do you think that this timeing thing could be ralated to this problem? Oh yeah!! I do have a 165 degree thermostat, and the fans are programed to come on also at 165 degrees. I think thats all the info you'll need. If I missed something please ask and I'll give the info that you need. Mahalo again, and, again!! If I keep this up, we'll be on first name bases in no time
