Ok guys I just got finish washing and waxing the vette, got in the car to pull it out of the drive way and as soon as I pulled off the car shut down and there was service colum lock on my dic. Also I was on my way to pick up some gas because I also had a low fuel and check gauges light on. So does the colum lock shut down the car or do I need to get a gas can?

well since no one is going to reply I guess I should give a update anyway. I know that this topic is constantly being talked about but to each individual person especially our knew owners and can seem like the end of the road. Especially with general just waiting to sick it to your pride and joy. Enough of that the car is at the dealership as I write this and they are telling me that the recall has already been done on my car before and they want to keep it til tomorrow to do more investigating. So this is a warning to those of you who think that your problems are over because the dealer has done the recall on the car. Now come to find out the recall was done on my car 2yrs ago. So know I am really at a lost for the cause if any one can give me some good insight that would be nice.

I get the low fuel/empty sometimes when the tank is over 1/2-5/8 and the car has been driven longer then 1/2 hour. I set both trip gauges on fill up It was scary the first few times it happened but eventually when you get below 1/2 it should start reading again, at least mine does. Havent had the column lock bother me yet "knock on wood"
