Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Another Great Corvette Forum

rumour has it that the membership is on the decline over at CF since it was bought out. I too visit several forums but rarely CF.
We do have a NW Ohio group that meets for lunch several times a year and
I usually have a BBQ or two in the summer so stck around and keep in touch.

I'm a member of that other site, don't post there. Some good info but seems like lots of fighting and bad mouthing going on. CAC is the best on the net. What a GREAT group of folks. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Mark

I agree, this is a friendlier forum, and that other one was the first forum I was in :D. I just thought you may find some more info on Vettes and other parts places :cool. I'll always go to both, but it's nice to know I have friends here :beer.

:w Mike,

Glad to see you back :D You're always welcome here, after all we have something here that is Very Special that ONLY Exist here ;)

Enjoy the Holidays, Merry Christmas and have a Great 08... maybe we'll see ya at CruiseFest V (Cleveland 2008) ;)

Well it's not EXACTLY a handshake but he may treasure it nonetheless.:upthumbs

Keep an an eye on this subforum. As the weeks wear on, there will be more and more info posted.

In the meantime, I can tell you that the dates for CruiseFest 2008 will be June 25th - 27th. :upthumbs

More official announcement will be forthcoming soon in the forum listed above.

Just wondering, how many Corvette type forums does everyone belong to?
"corvette type"? like specific to Corvette's or other rides, like motorcycles, atv's, etc?

CAC is the only one I'm active in. I don't think I have any other valid logins anymore on any other vette sites.

I have (somewhere) a CarDomain page.
And I have an account on the Victory Motorcycle forums and the Nissan Altima forums, both which only get used when I have tech questions.

I don't have the time to play around in other vette forums. I have enough people here if I want to BS with someone and if I need a tech question answered, there's no place but the CAC to get fast AND quality information/instruction. And quite frankly, the overall attitude in other vette forums turns me off. Too much braggadocio, negativety, and cliques at the other sites. Not people I care to associate with.

I stopped posting on CF several years ago, there was zero effort made by the moderators to control or delete posts by trolls or guys that were TOTALLY CLUELESS , but wanted to trash every idea or question posted, when new guys posted questions they were ridiculed and told to used the search feature , many guys on the site were old timers who had obvious never done much but repeat B.S. they had heard with zero real world experiance, when youve built and tested something like a corvette engine or have raced with certain combos for years , and you have some jerk argueing with you over something thats obviously well beyond and out of his experiance range and hes totally clueless its pointless to argue.
once the name calling and stupid pointless posts started I just left

I belong to The Valley,Florida on Line club/forum,International corvette .All are forums.

Most of my time is spent on CAC and Florida.Reason is i'm more comfortable with the people.

I visit this site, the Corvette Forum and Digital Corvettes. I agree with everyone that the CF does have some very arrogant people over there at times but, there are quite a few good people as well. It's unfortunate that the jerks give that forum a bad reputation.

I even think Digital Corvettes was started by a former member of the CF after he got sick of all the childish BS going on over there; I could be wrong about that but, I seem to recall hearing it from somewhere.

Oh yea, I also visit the NCRS site too.

When it comes down to it, there's more than enough Corvette enthusiasts with computers to go around. Each forum has it's unique characters and characteristics. We're not truly in competition with each other since there's nothing to prevent anyone from belonging to all of the forums... and others beyond... and most of us (including myself) do exactly that.

We like to think we have a winning forumula (pun intended) in that we put less emphasis on the volume of posts (another pun?) and more on the content... quality over quantity...

It's always nice to read positive comments about what Rob has created and what we're trying to foster. Thank you all and Merry Christmas!!

I'm registered with every forum I'm aware of, mostly to keep my screen name out of the hands of undeserving.;LOL

Actually, I'm a memebr of the other forum too. I don't post there. I do however, like to keep tabs on the Northeast Events section, since thats where I live and it is really an active thread on CF.

But CAC will always be home to me!! :beer

PS. Welcome to Mike also!!
