Antifreeze on Intake!

Looking at that photo, I see dry (or should I say "cooked") coolant at the Torx bolt. The position of the dry coolant looks to be at 3 o'clock, and then at about 6:30 all the way up to about 8 o'clock. The highest wet part is just about parallel with base of the Torx bolt looks like? So taking a guess, there would seem like a spray misting out the back at the base of the Torx. The spray looks to be about 11 o'cock, through 2 o'clock, according to that wide 'wet' spread. Then it travels down into that green puddle. Other variable could be the same leak out the back of the Torx straight down, filling the cavity, and evaporating, leaving the upper most area still wet.

Now, the question is.... was this a dealer or independent repair? Usually the dealer backs their work up a few months. If they use factory parts, then that is backed up by GM for I believe, 90 days for parts (only). Things may have changed at GM? So a phone call would be the next step as who did the repair, and what their guarantee is?

If there is no satisfaction for warranty repair, then I would remove the Torx bolt, goop the pipe sealer on the threads and hope for the best. Done with a dead cold engine repair for this job.

Yeah I think I found it for the one side. It is leaking around the T-stat housing. I just got back from taking it to the shop that put it on and he said call him sometime next week a day in advance and I can bring it down and he will re torque the bolts, so we will see.

I had the same problem 2 yrs ago It was the old intake manifold gasket leak problem. I took it to the local chevy dealer who wanted $1.400.00 for the repair.Had the local garage who works on my other cars do it for $700.00 this
included replacing brake lines with stainless steel lines, spark plugs & wires, oil change.
