Automatic Transmission Question

[1994Roadster]

I have a 1968 with 327 and Automatic. How do I daignose passing gear kickdown? Is is mechanical or electric?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Assuming the transmission is the original THM-400, the kickdown is electric; there's a switch mounted just above the top of the accelerator pedal that activates the full-throttle downshift.

Well, I figured it was something unusual as I was looking for the typical kick-down linkage and didn't see it. Thanks again for your reply.
