Why would you want to bypass the relay? If the relay keeps going bad I would check the amperage draw of the fan.
The fan is going to need a relay of some sort whatever you do.
Bypass the relay with excess draw and watch your car burn down.
Why are you concerned about aux fan operation;
the majority of cars never had one in the 1st place and where the aux fan fitted most do not get hot enough to come on (235?)
I have a 1987 Vette and I garantee that if you disconect the fan relay it will over heat, just try it.

Yes and no, purchased two new auxiliary fan relays from Auto Zone, one to replace the burned out one and a spare for future problem. Just sold the 1987 Vette and no longer will have the problem, of Fan Relay failure. 582boat
