my negative and positive battery cables both have two sets of thick cables.
the negative wires i have one posted to the proper terminal and the shorter cable i have grounded to the block just near the oil filter.
The positive is a lot longer i already have the alternator and starter grounded I just don't know where the other cable goes.
i've already read every chilton available . i think it goes grounded to the bellhousing but i would seriously appreciate any correction or validation

This a hard post for me to read and understand, but if you have a heavy ground cable to the engine assembly that would mean that your frame may not be properly grounded since the engine and transmission are held in place with rubber mounts. I would take a guess that the other wire/cable you are referring to might go to the frame of the vehicle. Good luck with it. :)

This is what's in the factory service manual.
There are two wires from the negative battery cable.
G101 bolts to the frame rail below the battery.
G104 bolts to the engine block near the oil filter.
The manual doesn't show the location but the schematic shows a braided ground strap from the frame rail
and goes to either the engine block or one of the bell housing bolts.

Thank you for your help ! I have the ground under the battery installed and G104 installed also just don't know what to do with the ground in the image .
The other end is attached to the positive battery post

If the other end of the lug is connected to the positive battery cable, it's battery voltage 12 volts and not ground. If that's the case it appears it connects to the starter motor. It goes over the top of the engine/bell housing and then down to the starter motor. If you already have a cable going to the starter motor from the positive battery cable the cable lug must be the one that goes to the battery jumper block. It's located below and behind the battery and supplies 12 volts to the jumper block where most of the fusible links are. The wires are held together by a nut bolted to a stud.

I really appreciate all of your help
I've been reviewing manuals and ground location photos for days so I REALLY appreciate your knowledge and patience !
It's been a real PAIN in the A**
Hopefully you can call me an idiot and tell me what's wrong this is my starter and the ground I think you were talking about for the fuses

I'd say that large black cable from the battery positive cable goes to the starter solenoid.
The picture you posted of the starter solenoid shows an orange wire. That's the same stud that battery cable should bolt to. There also should be a small wire going to the starter solenoid where the small nut is. When you turn the ignition to start there should be 12 volts on the small missing wire that energizes on the starter solenoid.
