i posted a couple of days ago "sad sad dyno, for all the engine specs read that one " about my low dyno pulls after i put the 383 in. so iv come to the conclusion that its a intake and or head problem. what intake would yall recomend for the most hp gains? in my situation. thanks fo your help.

Mini Ram setup I hear was the best
But in CA. Super Ram :D

If you have a 6speed, Miniram. I would also pick one of TPiS bigger cams, or something like the CompCams 306. It would require you to go to a lower rear gear though, for best results.

Otherwise, Accel Superram and the Accel 74219 cam. Lingenfelter dynos show it puts out 440hp at the crank on a 383. Add a 2400-2600 stall TC and youll be faster out of the hole. This combo should run 11's easy in the 1/4mi. Get them at lingenfelter.com or ebay.

It is critical for you to have your heads fully CNC ported for either, in stock form they won't flow the air to put out 440hp.

But i would like to know all the cam specs on your motor, you might be able to use the current cam.

LIngenfelter sells the whole set of plenum, runners and intake. I forgot the price, but I think it's in the $1400-1600 neighborhood?
