What kind of vacuum is it pulling??;shrug
How many miles on the car??;shrug;shrug

Need to check fuel pressure,(just b/c the f. pump is new doesn't mean the pressure is ok), proper ign. timing & make sure it advances when you rev it, the throttle postition senser may have a bad spot, restricted exhaust. Make sure (i'm assuming its an 84) the hot air thermac valve in the air cleaner is working properly.

yeah its got 177k miles on it.i dont have any gauges so illput it in the shop and let them just tell me what to fix.thanks everyone

Have you changed the fuel filter?

Any chance the cat is restricted?

Have been experiencing similar problems with my 92. Low fuel pressure... so I pulled the fuel filter first and found the O ring from the fuel pump in the line. Pump is probably fine, but I haven't pulled it yet.

You guys are not gonna believe this ,I found my problem!!!!!2months before this problem started i changed the fuel pump, well i gues the hose on the fuel pump came loose,it was almost all the way off.Wow thought i was gonna have to put her in the shop for the first time.Shes running real strong now!

Have you checked the cat?
A blocked cat will make the car bod down bad and if the car will not rev over 4k rpm's and idles smoothly, it is most likely a bad cat. Mine did that, ran fine at low rpm's and would not rev past 3500 for anything.
