I intended to swap out my 1990 Bose cassette to a 1990 Bose CD. But I just recently heard that the 1990-1993 Bose CD's have been tons of trouble. Apparently these are first-generation CD players.
I have been told to use a 1994-1996 Bose CD player because the second-generation CD players were much better. Luckily, these units are identical so I can keep originality AND improve performance.
Does anyone know if these statements are true?

Thanks, Safety

I bought my 94 LT1 with 29k from the original owner and the tape player works fine but the CD does not work. I just added a Sony 10 mp3 CDs box to keep it original. Because the guy in the local shop told me they give a lot of troubles. I am using everithing of the factory bose gold but not the CD ;shrug
