Just out of curiosity, how would my car stack up?
The susp/shocks , springs, sway bars & heim joints are not stock. Tires and wheels not stock. Exhaust-not stock.
Starter is new GM. Alt in not the orig. Plug wires from a 66-67.
Aside from those biggies, most everything else is orig.
Paint, engine, heads, carb- fuel filter, dist, trans, RR, int. (carpet, seats, door panels dash) All from day one.
Would it rate? Or get blown out of the water?
Never asked? and just wanted to know?
Have all orig. parts, but like it just the way it is. :o)
Thanks!

Since I like hacking them up, I'm obviously unqualified to answer your question, Mark.

Most others are probably out in the garage having a go.

P.S. This site has never claimed to be the busiest (just the best - my claim). :D

Thanks John, I am sure you are right.
Something funny happened last June though. The head of my areas NCRS was looking my car over, as it was about the most unrestored at that show. And he asked me, "When were the seat covers replaced?" I said, there orig. He said, "I don't think so"
The cars 2 prior owners were standing there with me, so I asked them. Nope, never replaced the seat covers. And Walt bought the car in 65. It was funny. As all the cars owners were there from Oct 65 to 2003. And am sure the judging game is way more stress than I care to deal with. That alone would ruffle your feathers if being judged? Wouldn't you think?
So hats off to those who go that route. I have nothing but admiration for them. :)

Great car with a great old history! And, some terrific photos to document the past.

I love these old mid-years!
