Brake fluid change

I am wanting to change brake fluid in my 96.How hard of a job is this?I would also like to purchase a fluid pump and speed bleeders.Which one and who do you recommend to buy from? Your input would be appreciated and helpful.Thanks Kevin.

It's not hard if you have the proper jack and tools. Some times the bleeders can be very hard to loosen. Be careful there.

I've used speed bleeders in the past and liked them very much. I also have one of the vacuum pumps bleeders and they work very well also. Either way use a clear hose on the bleeders so you can see the fluid color change and collect the old fluid in a jar or can.

If you use the regular bleeders and a vacuum pump tool, make sure that hoses stay connected while bleeding to keep air out of the system.

I used speed bleeders and did all the fluid change by my self, it was very easy and quick. It took me more time getting it in the air and all the wheels off than actually changing the fluid. Speed bleeders are the only way to go. A tip, if you still have the original brake hoses on it might be a good time to change them. I had one collapse internally and lock up a brake on me and mine has only 34k on the clock.
