Brakes Done!

Thanks to all who provided inputs. I finished the brake overhaul last night and test drove the car. She doesn't pull, and stops well. Brake pedal pretty firm. I ordered the Motive Products power bleeder which I found to be a must for the bleed phase. I also got the bleeder bottles, but I'd say they were a bit pricey for what you get. The weak link with those are the hard plastic nipple connecters for the tubing. They broke in a matter of minutes. If I had to do it over again, I'd just buy a roll of tubing long enough to go to the floor and use a coffee can. Hats off to Vette Brakes & Products for a quick turn around on my order. I sent my calipers in the day I ordered my kit to avoid the core charges and I had the new ones in 7 days. They also upgraded me to semi-metallic at no charge due to organics on backorder and they didn't want to delay my order. Needless to say, it's good to be back on the road again. Replaced MC, all calipers w/ SS, o-ring type, and hoses. Plan to bleed again in about 100 miles just for good measure. Thanks again to all for the insights.

I bought VB&P complete kit as well (O-ring calipers, pads, MC, SS lines front & rear, etc.) I've been very pleased with the kit, no problems. My only suggestion to them (and still) is to include the proportioning valve as well, since that can fail and lead unusual braking tendencies. Other than the booster, it's the only part remaining in the system that would need to be replaced. Since you have to disconnect the lines from it anyways, it just seems to make sense.
(However, my mechanic said that at this point I could probably just do away with it altogether...)
