After installing ZR-1 wheels on my pride and joy, the rusty rotors stick out like a sore thumb. I searched but couldn't find anything on this problem. Does anyone know a way to clean up the rotors without removing them and painting? I really don't want to paint them and thought there may be some type of rust inhibitor that may work. Thanks!!

I think you'll need to buy the rotors for the Collector Edition or Grand Sport (they both use the same).

The difference between these rotors and the regular ones for 96 is... they won't rust. For exactly the reason you're running into. Same performance, but they have a different part number. Fraid I don't know what the part number is though. Probably a little more expensive.

i would say if he was going to swap rotors that he should just go with baer or brembo rotors then . and then add the extra money for the zinc wash which will prevent it from rusting

sorry I dont know of any way to get the rust off unless you have someone spin the disk while you file off the rust then paint it. but idk

Thanks for the help! I figured there wouldn't be an easy method. The braking system is fine so I guess I'll live with them until I have a problem, then switch out the rotors. It's a driver, so no biggie.
