build date of 2003 Vette

Hello to all CAC Members,
I don't know where to post this question, so I'll start here. Where or how can I find the build date of my 2003 Vette?

I recently took delivery of my 2003 Z06. The dealer had notification of the build date and I also received from the factory a "birth certificate" signed by the factory executives. Nice touch. My car #5224 was built 8/26/02. Check with your dealer.

Probably the easiest way is to go to the dealer and get them to pull "The Vehicle Event History" . If they were the ordering dealer they would have the order information necessary to pull the Event History. Then you can look to see when the available to ship date is and that will be the day the car came off the assembly line if it made it cleanly through the assembly process. At any rate that will be the date the factory cleared the car for delivery.
