Oh crud, I bought one of them for $6 too. Haven't received it yet but now I expect the worst...:mad
Denney, just wondering how your buying experience turned out. Did you get the item, was it junk, like mine? Just want to enlighten a few folks on this forum if possible.

What's with all the corvette listings which start with: "This listing is restricted to pre-approved bidders or buyers only"? Does the seller require that you pay a fee to bid?

Most of the recent adds with that statement have been "cons." Many ...out of the country! ..Ed

I am getting very "tired" of eBay these days. More scams all the time.

And, I'm getting caught sometimes on things like,

I'll mail you the "basketball" tickets in time. USPS Express Mail. Then it arrives the day after the game. Sh*t like that gets me PO. Also the description on Ebay does NOT match what is delivered. This is turning me off of eBay.

Any one else notice the difference lately?

I would 'never' buy a car off eBay now!!

EBAY has a lot of good things to recommend it... but the buyer needs to be VERY careful. My personal thought is that EBAY could do more to stop a lot of the potential fraud. #1 ...They make it very hard to report potential problems on their site.

...just my 2 cents ... I could be wrong :(

bought my 1960 vette 4 weeks ago off Ebay....I live in Ohio near Toledo...my dad is in Virginia....the car was in Baltimore..,,,talked to the guy...he was willing to take his reserve for the car and end the auction early....so had my dad go up and look at it....it was about wha tI figures.....needs a lot...but looks good in the pictures...10 foot paint job....interior not too bad...non original motor...but had both tops and new glass for the hard top as well as a new soft top to go on it... reserve was $26,000 got it for $25,500

I am happy with it...needs work..but everything else I have seen is $30-32,000 and needs the same work...so felt I made out on this one.......

way to go!
Its best to see the item in person when dealing with something that expensive.

Keep us posted on the progress and give us some pics!
