Exoto has recently made a model of this Grand Sport:
http://exoto.com/Cashier/index.asp?display=Catalog/Catalog.asp&Model1=140
Item: MTB00076
Model: 1967 Sting Ray Competition
Version: 1967 Le Mans 24 Hours Prototype, #9
Drivers: Bob Bondurant, Dick Guldstrand

Those are excellent models. Unlike the '67s modelled, the Grand Sport was a '63-only back-door racer (5 built) that was never offered to the public.

The story of the 1967 Lemans #8 car is right here in the Tech Center, on the :CAC

My Goodwood Green car in 1:18 with saddle interior and hard-to-find black stinger.

They are small compared to modern cars but no less significant as an automobile. One of the C4 owners/admirers of my car cannot get his...well himself under the 16" steering wheel. They are very small inside.

What was the fate of that car in Equador?

She Wanted To Ride Down Sitting On The Deck Lid! I Don't Think So!

Wedding for my wifes cousin, did let the dad drive, his eyes lit up when I gave him the keys!

Andy,
Very nice pic! And you know some Dads can't afford these old cars. I am sure he was delighted to drive one. Especially on that occasion!

I hope this is ok ... here are a C1 & C2 from my past life.. Somewhere in the late '70's or early '80's

The 54 was a project car with a buddy that we sold during the "Evolution Show" our little Club sponsored in York, NE & the '67 was my very first Corvette and took best of show that day.. These are photo's I dug up on one of my old 3 1/2" disks :eek

I have some 35MM of them in a box somewhere, attic or shop... I think.

Okay, Bud. Road trip............we gotta find that '67. :D

Last time I saw it was 1986 Black Hills Corvette Classic ... someone from the Souix Falls Club had it... I'm thinking the name was Alby or Aulby... Probably in Japan by now ;shrug

Thanks Bob for the suggestion :D I do like Road Trips :Steer
Now back to pictures and Old Memories..

Bud

I hate to even show this photograph, for what they did to the Corvette.
I took the picture when I was stationed in Guam around 1983. :crazy
