Question: C4 Backup Lamp Lens

Having more time due to retirement, I'm gradually restoring/replacing various components on my 85
Coupe. Does anyone know if the lens on the backup lamps can be cleaned? The original lens are dark and sooty looking as if exhaust has accumulated on the inside surface of the lens. Dennis R.

You can try cleaning it, but Corvette Central (in Sawyer Michigan) had replacement ones. If you are restoring, they are the place to deal with. Call (800)345-4122 for a catalog or go on their web site and they will send you one. When restoring thesae older Vette's, Google is your friend!

Also check out redneck43 on ebay. He's in Florida and he parts out a lot of C4's. His phone # is on his ebay site. Good Luck
