U Joint clicking
If you find the U joints are not at fault, the next thing I would do is replace the thrust washers behid the rear wheel bearings. I had similar clicking on my 87 and joints were all still tight. Those washers can cause the same noise. Cheap to buy and a lot easier than replaicnt joints. Proper torque on the big bearing nuts is critical after replacing wahsers.
