I got a C6 base, last August. It has a power top that isn't going all the way up to the windshield.
It goes all the way down, but returning back up, it goes to about 10 inches away from the rim, then automatically starts going back down. Is this a limiting switch or something I can adjust?
So, I noticed the hydraulic fluid was just about 30% and looked like coffee. I got some Mercedes (Bilstein brand) hyd. oil as it's compatible, and a whole lot cheaper than the GM (Mobil) product.
The reservoir is at the 'full" mark with 100ml. (I pulled about 35 ml out.)
I was hoping the top going back down, while pushing the "up" toggle was due to not enough fluid and the pump cavitating. But, I changed and added to full mark and there's no change.
Any ideas are welcome.
The car is a stick with 93,XXX miles. It appears that none of the previous owners ever did any fluid changes except for engine oil. I've seen some REAL crud come out of the clutch reservoir.
