on your turn signal arm, turn the knob (sleeve) toward you. that will turn drl's off. But keep in mind, that is only good for each time you do this. After shutdown of vehicle, it will come back on. also, that deactivates your automatic headlight feature. Hope this helps.
that turns on the lower driving/fog lights when the DRL go off on my 2005 C-6 and the green indicator lights come on.

That's the other side of switch which is for fog lights you can drive with just fog lights on by just engagaing fog light switch. But it is the other switch on other side to use when you want DRL's on and the indicator light comes on. You are correct there is a indicator light for fog light which don't seem to help at all.:crazy :r :r :lou

I'll let you in on a little secret, in Canada it isn't because we don't have much daylight, in fact when I drive my corvettes, it is in the summer - not winter - when we average 14-18 hours of light per day, so forget that idea. It is because we have a lot of 2 lane highways there and it is a proven fact oncomming traffic sees you coming with lights on long before you are noticed if you don't have them on, ask a motorcycle rider. It is safety and insurance reasons, and has been a law there since 1989. I personally think it is a good one, similar to the 3rd brake light, only adds to your safety. Give it some thought.

Well I like the DRL's feature and now I have figured out how to control it so it's fine It won't come on in my garage and when I'm out I can flip the switch forward then they will come back on. I just didn't like the fact that in the garage all lights came on especially those headlights so now I flip the switch before starting the car and that shuts down all lights then when in lighter area flip switch same way and the DRL's come back on.:_rock

In response to Donsar. BYW, nice looking '06 you've got. The Canadians may need them for their lack of daylight. I don't like them and would like to permanently disable them as automatic. I'll turn them on when I want to, thank you. If I see some donkey pulling out in front of me I prefer to flash him with my headlights.
Also, it draws less attention if you are flying low. <BG>
Best Regards,
(still shopping)
When I drove my black C5, I liked to use the DRL because most people couldn't see me coming. But with my C6, I prefer to not use them because if they burn out it will result in a trip to the dealer. With my Millennium Yellow coupe, I really don't need lights for daytime......and flying low is really a problem now ;-)

I like your Millennium Yellow Corvette. The safety cops can't argue about the visibility of that car.

I'm trying to get into the habit of turning off the DRL when I start the car, however I did find a write up on DigitalCorvettes on how to disable them.

Regards,
Jim
