GM should be applauded for what they wanted to accomplish with the C6. They took aim at all of the C5 problem areas, interior quality, more sophistication, options.... and finally they decided to trim all the excess fat that will make it more desirable to the european market. C6 is several inches shorter while maintaining all if not more interior room. Love the fact that it is only an inch longer than a current 911. (The majority of all export sales are in Germany).
Not to mention more POWER, 400 base Hp for starters which will finally post current Z06 performance numbers that will be in the same league as Porsche and Ferrari at less than half the price. This is what Zora Duntov had envisioned all along. The C6 has some borrowed styling features from a lot of cars, past vettes, viper, ferrari...etc. but it doesn't try to imitate just one car as some have said. That is a good thing. My only complaint is the grill. They could have done a better job without making it look plasticky.
Gm, Ford, Dodge and Chrysler for that matter have taken aim at the foreign market by directly building cars with better quality, performance and yes styling. The C6 needs to be seen in person before any solid judgments can be made, but as with all introductions of previous generations, some hated the new style while others love it.
