Man, both have hideous wheels... Those C5 wheels were ugly on the C5, why would anyone intentionally put them on any other car?

Simple fix, when you buy one of them, just put the wheels you prefer on them!
True, but if the car doesn't still have the dymags, that would be about $8,000 on top of what you paid for the car to get them and have your tires mounted, etc. :)

You only go around once, it's only money. Might as well enjoy life while you can; too many people say "shoulda, woulda, coulda"

A Callaway (B2K) Corvette built that late in the (1991) run would not have had Dymags on it - OZ wheels would be the "correct" wheel for that car from Old Lyme - you could probably pick up a nice & clean set for under $1k

Personnally, I happen to like them and have them on my B2K:w

Any idea what the reserve is on the speedster....I know it did not sell at Bloomington....how high did the bidding go?

Shopview - I believe the bidding went beyond the "selling price" of the last Speedster that came up for sale (and had left w/ a new owner :eek )

What is interesting about that is, we all keep saying the cars values are going up, or at least (strongly) holding - This might be a case in point

I suspect they want a buck and a half, at least :m

I'm feeling you 100% on that quote! I would like to see or does any one have HRE's on their Callaway. Although the new Vette wheels are an impressive feature that would enhance any Callaway.

It looks like the Speedster is going up for auction first, which is a good idea. If bidding does get in the $100,000+ range, I bet that will help pull up the price of the 500 Edition convertible. If someone doesn't get the Speedster or it doesn't sell, the convertible B2K could be sort of a consolation prize for someone who's bidding ego got bruised.

Wow....that puts it way way out of my range. Worth it but I would need to win the lottery.

Stoudt's, in my mind, is being smart in auctioning off that car. Not only is it a tag team auction with a Speedster, but, they have also had that car for long enough that it will probably bring near $50k (or more) which is around what they are asking for it.

That Speedster was for sale at Corvette Mikes back when I bought my 91 Aero car from him. He had offered it to me for $150K back then. I still do not understand why after all this time, nobody has put the correct wheels on that car.
