It seems that this month, virtually ALL the major Corvette magazines have articles on or about Callaway Corvettes :upthumbs

Corvette Enthusiast :cool
Corvette Fever :)
Corvette Magazine ;)

They ALL have at least one article about the Callaways :v

Also, Coming soon in Corvette Enthusiast, an article on a VERY rare B2K that just turned 300 miles :eek

Is it me, or are these cars getting a TON of press these days :confused This a great time I think for the Cars, Company, and the Owners & Enthusiasts involved with them :m

I always loved those beauties......I remeber telling my buddies about the very first ones (can't remeber which year)....all my Mustang buddies wouldn't believe that it was possible to have a Corvette with 2 turbos and a warranty. They said that GM would never allow it....lol....I was reading magazines and they weren't.One guy went so far as to ask the closest GM dealer about it and the dealer knew nothing...lol....Guess what happened next.....All his entourage was misled into believing that those cars didn't exist.....;LOL .....I wonder if they believe it now!

All those magazines are the reason I wanted the red on black Aerobody (like on the cover of C&D 5/89) so badly - These cars are unforgettable :upthumbs

They'll believe you now :m

I also heard from our European friends that 89-010 is on a magazine over there this month as well. I would also expect the Bloomington show to spawn a few more issues with Callaways as well.

Boy I love these cars!

It looks like the sprayer is on the exhaust side. These intercoolers are bottom fed.If the car is moving the spray is going to be sucked right out.

Pete, That is a little odd - The only other time I saw a fogger on an intercooler, it was situated before the fins :eek
Emptied four 20lb bottles on a (top speed) pass :eek

Pete is correct!

The sprayer is on the exhaust side, it's pure the show effect and not for gaining any hp's. Like i said before it isn't my cup of thea, but Arie like's it and it's his car so no problem for me...

Greetings Peter.

yes, I agree... the intercooler misting is going the wrong way! The air is ducted into the nose and front end of the car... then it is extracted out through the hood scoops (where you see the nozzles). It's a nice setup, however, there is probably more mist hitting the windshield rather than the intercoolers. I may be missing something.. but those heat extractor scoops are facing towards the rear of the car-- which makes me think the air is coming in from the front and exiting out towards the rear. :confused

I don't get it...

:confused Why go through the effort to set it up if it's not actually doing anything? It would not have been any more difficult or costly to actually make it functional by putting it on the intake side of the intercooler. Not to mention the fact that anyone who understands how the car is set up will be scratching their head as much as all of us are.

That reminds me of a guy I know - put a pro fogger NOS kit on his LPE406 - he got very caught up in the "effects" that he installed "purge solenoids" and since the car was a lease (whole 'nother story;LOL in itself ) he tie wrapped the discharge tubes to the wiper blade mounts - went to purge it one day and fogged the front windshield - CRACKING IT!!!!! :eek

If I am correct, this is the secondary system (the "show system") and there is also a real NOS system going into the cilinders.:D

What this will do to the engine, I don't know....:eyerole

Really :eek one for show, one for go :eek Has he track tested the car yet to see the gains??
Have you gone for a spin in it yet?? I figure you or Peter (Peer81) would be all over that car by now :upthumbs
