I'm attempting to track down a set of those Callaway-style upper hood air exit vents. Has anyone found a source, have any for sale or installed them on your car?

Just Curious,

There are a few aftermarket places that have "duplicated" the Callaway Style of hood blisters and the NACA ducts, depending which ones you are looking for.
Look at places like ACI fiberglass - hope this helps. :w

Any feedback on these for quality and functionality? I need, still, to reduce underhood heat, especially at low speeds. TIA

I agree they do look like the Callaway blisters. But the author said he was looking for an exit vent. The blisters and naca ducts are intakes, only the sledgehammer has exit ducting on the hood.

The Sledgehammer had one style of exit vents, as did the Super Speedster that was Chery Smash. The S.S. style was also similar to the ones used on #89-010 and a 3rd design was incorporated into the hood of the Carbon Fiber bodied Super Speedster LeMans.

Here are a couple pics of each - These were all custom work done to the cars as they were constructed - possibly the most commercially avail. option then would be the Greenwood extractors...

Hope this helps :beer

Those Sledgehammer vents look the best of any, to me. Anyone know if they are available? I don't like the bolt-on look; would prefer to sell my hood and replace the whole thing.

Thanks.... I'll keep looking for a source on the Sledge ones..

You can not get Callaway body parts unless you are an owner of a car or Aerobody kit . The Sledgehammer was a one off so they do not have others. As far as the other cars with exit vents they were one on an as need basis. Sorry but Callaway is very strict about selling parts to Callaway owners .
