Want to know how to capture an image on your computer screen, thus being able to crop and save the image??

The freeware discussed in this "resizing" thread in the Site Help and Feedback forum has that capability.

Resizing photos with IrfanView

http://www.irfanview.com/

The freeware can be downloaded here: http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html

Once downloaded and installed, open the IrfanView viewer:

Once opened, left-click on Options, and select Capture/Screenshot from the drop down menu:

This will open the Capture Setup window:

After clicking on the Start button, minimize the screen, leaving it open, but in the toolbar and out of the way.
At this point you should be viewing the browser window containing the image you want to capture.

Next you'll need to crop the image to save only the subject you're interested in:

Place the cursor at the top lefthand corner of the area you want to keep and left-click, holding the button down.

Then start to drag the cursor diagonally across the image to the opposite corner:

Congrats! You're done!

As always - if you run into problems, post a thread in the Help and Feedback Forum and we'll try to help.

One more detail - beware of capturing and using Copyrighted photos. If you aren't sure, it's best to ask!

Some images can't be captured because they're protected from copying by the owner.

Enjoy!
