Hi Everyone,
I've decided to put on my long block (350hp/389 ftlb T Dart Heads). I'm getting the Edelbrock RPM air gap with the Edlelbrock 650cfm Thunder Series AVS carb. I believe this will be a good combo. But what about hood clearance, anyone know how large of a after market high rise hood I should get? And any ideas on who sells one for a good price? Thanks for all the help, and support for the troops over here in the "land of sand".

Kirk....Ive got a RPM Air Gap manifold.....and a 650 mighty demon carb....I used a 14" drop base air cleaner and a 2 1/4 inch elemnet...I also used Energy Susp ploy mounts to eliminates almost all of the enigine rocking during accelerationa....and I still have about 3/4 inch clearance......WITH stock hood...

Good luck.......

Id send you pictures but I took the with too many Pixels (?) and can upload them to here I dont know how to compress them...

How about a RPM air gap, a 750 holley, and a 1 inch carb spacer.

750.....isnt that too much carb for that motor??? Im runnin a .544 lift cam....234...244 duration 10.32/1 compression.....and a 750 overcarbed it....

what hood are you running with a one inch spacer??? a big block L88 hood??
