Been away for a while...this w/b our first time to Carlisle and plan on parkin' in the '63-'65 Registry. Looking forward to meeting all you guys/gals. It's one thing to hook with you guys for help from my keyboard but doesn't top taggin' your handles/names with a face...w/b great! Stayin' at the Hampton Inn in Chambersburg.

Remo and I have had the official unofficial CAC meeting place for the last 2 years. It's been a come-and-go, stay-and-rest as you please sort of thing. No special times, but you will find someone there much of the time at our blue tent. Rowdy, Nut, C4C5Specialist, 81KIX, Rob, GSDiva & Hubby, RoadsterFan & Tammy, Bill & Gail, Bob Chadwick just to name a few who hang out with us off and on.

We are always located in the NCRS member area on the other side of the NCRS yellow & white tent near Gate 3:

You know, my son and I stayed at the HI in Mechanicsburg for a few years without realizing that the "official party guys" were there too. Since he was well under age, we spent our evenings in the pool and restaurants.

Then, when we didn't go to Carlisle two years ago, I gave up my room. They're still trying to find one for me this year.

Hint: Never give up a room in Carlisle. I should have paid for the empty room.

Speaking of Carlisle a funny thing happened to me on Sunday, I live in a small town, in the middle of nowhere, and I ran into another car that was parked in the 63-67 registry last year here, Driven by John, can't remember the last name, anyone remember the Yellow '67 that came in last year that was real dirty?

The rooms at our HI have been booked for a LONG time. You can either hope to find someone who can't go, or try to book on the HI site EVERY day at : http://www.hiharrisburgwest.com/main.html . That's what I did a few years ago and was able to get a room a few weeks before the show. We all book our rooms soon after the event for the next year. You can still meet up with us, many CACers like GSDiva & Hubby, Rob etc. stay somewhere else, but get together at the HI, Mechanicsburg.

First time in twelve years we won't be staying in a hotel in town. Now just hoping the builder finishes our house in time. Best part is we're only 15 minutes from the fairgounds.

I have 4 rooms at the Holiday Inn-West where Guy and alot of the other CAC members are staying. 2 rooms have 2 double beds and 2 room hav 1 king bed. All reservations are for Friday & Saturday night stays. I believe there will be no problem with extending these reservations for Thursday if needed. The rooms are $156.75 a night +tax. I know this is robbery but ALL Carlisle hotels are out of site for Corvettes at Carlisle. I will give out these rooms on a first come first served basis. Either PM me or send an email to let me know you are interested.
