I've new to the forum and plan on purchasing a c4 over the summer( taking a step up from the camaro), so I have some questions on catback systems as I look into them.
I'm looking for a loud, big block, muscle car sound. I like the flowmaster 40's, but was wondering if there are any aftermarket tips that would fit well and still have the quad chrome look. I have halso heard that B&B is excellent, but have heard mixed reviews on the sound. Assuming it was a 2.5 inch system on an l98 vette, would that still have a good rumble? The other system I have research is power effects, again, I've heard mixed reviews about sound, some loud( what I like), others saying fairly quiet even fully open. I feel that B&B looks the best, then power effects, and the flowmaster tips just plain bad. Also, these systems would be assuming all cats are in place and stock exhaust manifolds for sound comparison purposes(and on an l98 while many reviews are generally for lt1 engines as far as I've seen). Anyone elso looking for a similar sound? Any tips would be appreciated.
