CD player & Radar detector.. any recommendations?

Perhaps this is the wrong forum but I hope to get the most answers posting here. Time has come to brush up my interior with some neat tools. I need a nice cd player head unit compad. with the delco bose in my 86'. I know very little about audio performance. I also want a radar detector thats worth the money. Any recommendations in what to get or look for is much appreciated Thx--

as for a CD player.... there are many options, limited on budget really.

I've used many other good radars for years ... had V1 for 3+ years ... pricey, but V1's the best.
cd = ?
I tend to cheap out on sound systems ... I don't listen too much while in car.

Not sure on a CD player but I've been using my Passport 8500 for a little over 2 years and I love it
