Has anyone used the centerforce dual friction clutch?
I am building a pretty stout but streetable big block with 540 cubes, it will probably end up with 600 to 650 horse/tq. I have the lakewood scattershield already. My plan was to install a CF 12-inch dual friction clutch and a billet flywheel along with a Richmond 5 or 6 speed and 3.08 gears in the rear.
Any comments?
I am currently looking for a transmission at a good price, thanks!
Hopefully I won't go broke before this car is finished. :chuckle

I've got a 460 at 530 hp and 550lbs ft torque and I use a McLeod two-plate "Street Twin" clutch. The trans is a Richmond 6-spd and my axle is 3.08.

Not a big fan of the Centerforce idea. I think the weights are more of a gymick and a reliablity problem. I do like a two-plate clutch as it keeps the pedal effor reasonable.

Thanks Hib, I have heard good things about Mcleod too. How do u like the richmond 6 spd and the 3.08 gears? Does the richmond fit without cutting the tunnel?
