I recently replaced plugs, wires, and cap. The old plugs were slightly colder than called for and must have been installed by PO. Replaced with correct ones. Now the Check Engine Light comes on at idle and goes out when cruising (auto trans). I thought maybe after a few tanks of gas the ECM might adjust but after reading through another post it occurred to me that the primitive ECM's aren't capable of this feature. My question is: will diconnecting the battery to reset the ECM correct this condition? No performance issues or stalling, just the annoying light.
