Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

Check engine, traction and low power

That was my first attempt to fix the problem: replace the accelerator pedal assembly (really easy to do, by the way). The problem literally happened as I rolled the car out of my driveway afterwards.....so, as promising as it sounds, I don't think the pedal assembly is the solution.

Ok, did you check the wiring harness as suggested//????
That would be my next course of action.
If you can get your data on the APP system, then you will see if one or more of the sensors is out, and why.
Please keep me posted, c4c5:hb

Thanks for being a member to CAC!

:cool Chick are you a Corvette Certifiied Mechanic (ASE)? If you are that is about one of the neatess things. I am a mechanic from yesteryear so I am pretty green on Vettes; Most of my mechanical years were when there was still points and condensors. I am presently a Fleet Manager for Indiana DOT so I am not an active mechanic, just service and tinker for the most part.I have a 2000 C-5 with a 6-speed that I drive on the week-ends in the warmer seasons. You and c4c5 Specialist seem to be the most knowledgable and I really enjoy reading your replies/responses. Sure glad your both active with CACF.
By the way what is the ASR? I assume this was maybe a setting on the ride control, maybe the sport setting ride? One last question; should I drive with the traction control on all the time or go into the DIC and disable it unless I am driving on slick road conditions? O can this even be disabled this way? I read this in the owners manual and still am confused about this fuction for the most part. Owners manuals sometime read in such a way that they think you already know or something to that effect.

Thanks for being there,
Bill
