Check "Ripp 76`s" post

I guess they can't please everyone . But I think it's amazing that they can sell that car for 65 k . I too would want it equiped to come in at 70 k . It's a bargain and a great car . Way to go GM . Cliff

Is it just me or is the 2plz package or whatever it is called seems like a waste..

If I were ordering the car I wouldn't get it..

The package seems like BS to me...

Nice if you like those options but nothing I could see thats a must have...

Great price for an amazing car..

Did it pass without the gas guzzler tax?

Amazing pricing...

Thanks again for the information

Finally ... a credible price quote. Cool car. But ... GM's "supercar" press releases should include terminal speed.

I just wish they made it in an automatic.:L

Anyone know how much added weight the 2LZ option adds to the car?

Thanks,
Mako

$70,000 Add another $6000 for tax + $10,000 premiun = $86,000 out the door, not counting registration

hey wallstAL
I think you're being optimistic. All the cars will be loaded up to the max...maybe 73 or more. Then the dealers will add their hard earned gouge. I'd say 10k is low. It could be $25 in some markets and you know what? There are some guys out there with really deep pockets who will pay it.

Don't forget the $500 paint protectant and the $350 leather protectant, and the optional GM extended warranty for $2500 etc etc.

I am thinking about declaring a news blackout for myself regarding this car until about this time two years from now. If I still want one then I will be able to afford it. Afford it or not my mindset is that I am not going to pay the dealers one cent over msrp. Why? Heck, most of them know next to nothing about the car, can't service it, and may just have employees who will damage it on "road tests" or through sheer negligance in the service dept.

So line up all you guys with the wads of cash. Put the extra 20 grand or so on the floor in front of you and bend over.

Here comes Mr. Goodwrench.........

and pricing will start at $65,800, including destination and freight charges.

Since anyone started talking coherantly about the price of the 06 Z06, I've been saying an MSRP of fron 65-68K.

Bingo!
$65,800

Questions?

One has to wonder what will be the total price after the dealer mark-up here i

The San Francisco, California Bay Area? price over $80,000?

65g`s for that sucker. Thats a joke, notice that everything that bolts to it is extra, and by a bunch! I`m sure that they are going to make up every pennie and then some for those loser 2005`s the dealers got stuck with. About all you get with the 65g`s is some air in the tires and enough gas to make it out of the driveway. Add these high priced necessary extras {tires and wheels} and the new introduction fees {MSRP and the gouging to be first on the block, extra, extra, charges} Remember the 1990 ZR1 introduction dealer scams? It wont be any different this time either as the dealers are probably already licking their chops over this 505 HP Vette waiting to laugh their way to the bank. ;LOL

I don't get it. If you put everything on it, it's $72975 even with Museum delivery. However, if you don't want the luxury package (2LZ), polished wheels, fancy paint, or an upgraded radio, it's only $65800. There's nothing extra needed to drive the premier American sports car off the lot. With the exception of dealer gouging (which the C6 has had since intro,) your post doesn't make sense. None of those options is necessary.

It`s not realistic to say the car will only cost 65K Hib. I would like to see it too be true but Stanford Chevy is still setting on a bunch of 005 ZO`s he cant give away. I`m sure you recall the outlandish prices demanded for the ZR1`s. MSRP is going to be only a starting point for how much over since they finially really have a ligitimate HOT piece to sell, the cocky dealer salesman answers will be like this, "supply and demand man". Take it or leave it. And that will be true whether or not there actually is a demand just for gouging rights. I could be wrong, but I dont think so.

My wife’s brother in-laws aunt hit the CA. Lottery for 42M 06/08/05. She’s Filipino and I'm 1/2 cracker and 1/2 Chippewa. Do you think I can talk her into footing the bill for a nice shiny new silver one?
;)

If you can, slip my name in there a few times. I'm getting married in less then a month, say it's a present :D.

Wish you the best of luck on that one.
