Installed a new set of Edelbrock Performer RPM heads with crane roller rocker arms and now I have a distinct chtt chtt chtt chtt sound coming from one cylinder.

The sound goes away if I disconnect the spark plug wire to that cylinder.

Any ideas? Could the valve lash be adjusted improperly on that cylinder keeping the exhaust valve open?

Oil pressure is good at 40-60psi depending on speed and engine temp is a constant 160 when warm.

1. Leaking head gasket at that cylinder or
2. Stripped or loose sparkplug or
3. Loose exhaust manifold near that cylinder.

Hopefully its just a header gasket leaking.Did you tighten the rocker studs before you installed the new heads? One might have backed out a little causing the lash to change. If all else fails retorque the heads after a couple of heat cycles and see if that helps.good luck.
