My 75 has developed a kinda clicking noise when in motion...
It seems to be comming from the dash area or just below...but...hard to pin down exact location ...
I wonder if anyone else has heard the same thing ......
I have pressed and tryed to move the console and lower dash while in motion but that didnt seem to make a difference ....
It seems to be a bit intermittent .....

I would first look at the Tackometer to see if the needle show a smooth movement or is it jumpy. The clicking noise could be from the speed-o cable binding in it's sleeve (running dry or the sleeve inside surface is worn rough and causing the cable to drag). Hope this helps!

I checked the tackometer and the movement looks to be fine ....
and when not moving i can rev the engine and no noise .....
It sounds like the console and dash are flexing or maybe even expanding and contracting with heat and cold ...
Its not extremely loud so i can live with it ....anyway ....thanks for the tip Chuck.

My 76 does the same thing its the speed-o on my car, I have tried to lube with not much good results. I will replace it nxt time I remove the dash or when it just stops working.
