Clutch Fan Problem?

I noticed that the clutch fan in my 1977 Corvette runs all the time. It spins as soon as I turn the engine on and continues to run the whole time my engine is running. Is this normal? I thought the fan only went on when the engine reaches a certain temperature.

I think it is supposed to spin when the engine is running. The amount (rpm) of spin is determined by temperature.

Thanks, Heidi. I wasn't sure if it was a problem or not. I just bought the car a month ago and I'm learning new things about it every day.
