i am removing the engine from 1965 with a muncie 4 speed manual. does anyone know how to remove the rotating rod that is attached to the clutch pedal linkage and the engine block?

thank you for the help. I have another question. I am attempting to replace the bushings in my upper and lower control arms. actually i plan to replace all of the suspension rubber with polyurathane. I cannot get the old rubber bushings to budge. are they pressed in or do i just need to keep beating on them?At the outboard end, you'll find a hex nut that's held in position by a tang bent over from a special washer behind it (like a french lock tang). Bend the tang open (vertical), remove the nut, and the threaded shaft will lift straight up out of its slot in the frame bracket - then just pull it off the ball stud on the engine block.![]()
